Greater Boston Addiction Center

At Greater Boston Addiction Centers, you will learn how to identify and change negative feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. We take a cognitive-behavioral approach to first address a person’s thoughts and emotions before helping them achieve the behavior changes they’re looking for. Another important aspect of an addiction treatment program is learning to work through cravings without relapsing or hurting others. If you have relapsed before, you may have blamed yourself or someone else, but placing blame only increases the likelihood of relapse. At Greater Boston Addiction Centers, you will learn that blaming yourself and accepting responsibility are two entirely different things.

Managing Substance Use Disorder Starts in Our Rehab Program

Learning to cope without turning to drugs is the most challenging obstacle many people face in their lifetime. Mindfulness training is one of the many life-changing approaches we offer at Greater Boston Addiction Centers’ outpatient Boston rehab. The treatment you will receive at GBAC is research-based, professional, and community-centered. We understand that becoming mindful takes time. Our Mindfulness Based Rehab Programs

We pride ourselves on being more than a rehab. The mindfulness practices we teach at Greater Boston Addiction Centers help participants become aware of triggers, monitor internal reactions, and foster more appropriate behavior choices. We focus on recognizing physical, cognitive, and emotional states that can lead to relapse in order to decrease the likelihood of turning back to substance abuse. Our exercises also help participants increase self-efficacy and communication skills, which have also been proven to lower the possibility of relapse. Our extensive recovery network offers clinically-based treatment programs, including:

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Rehab

Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) work for many people with an addiction. GBAC will help you decide which program fits your requirements and design an individualized treatment plan. At Greater Boston Addiction Centers, each level of care includes an array of therapies, services, and support. Whether you are struggling with an addiction to opioids, alcohol, amphetamines, or any other substance use disorder, the benefits of completing an intensive outpatient program can be enormous for someone in recovery.
